Hungary's MOL granted extension to negotiate purchase of Russian-owned NIS oil firm
Hungary's MOL oil company has been granted a US Treasury license extension until July 2026 to finalize its purchase of a majority stake in Russian-owned oil firm Nis.

Hungary's oil company MOL was granted a license from the U.S. Department of Treasury to continue negotiations on the purchase of the majority of shares in Russian-owned oil firm Nis until 1 July 2026, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
MOL signed an agreement in January to buy the combined 51.56% stake held by Gazprom Neft and Gazprom , pending approval from the U.S. Treasury.
