​Hungary's oil ‌company MOL was ​granted a license ‌from the U.S. Department of Treasury to continue ‌negotiations on the purchase ‌of the majority of shares in Russian-owned oil ⁠firm ​Nis ⁠until 1 July 2026, the ⁠company said in a ​statement on Wednesday.

MOL signed ⁠an agreement in ⁠January ​to buy the combined 51.56% stake ⁠held by Gazprom Neft ⁠and ⁠Gazprom , pending approval from the U.S. ‌Treasury.
