Artificial intelligence-based health-tech start up NIRAMAI Health Analytix Monday said it has closed a USD 6 million (around Rs 42.5 crore) round of funding, led by Japanese venture capital firm Dream Incubator. The series A round also saw participation from BEENEXT and other investors.

Earlier investors pi Ventures, Ankur Capital, Axilor Ventures, and Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal also participated in the round, a statement said. "The funds will be used for scaling in India, hiring top talent and getting additional regulatory approvals for international expansion," it said.

* Health-tech startup myUpchar has launched a Hindi app to reach out to more users in remote parts of the country. myUpchar, which currently serves 1.1 crore people from tier II and III towns every month, said its platform enables 1 lakh consultations with certified doctors. The app provides access to more than 50,000 doctors.

"Since majority of people visiting myUpchar are from areas with slow internet connections, the app is optimised to work on limited bandwidth and data. Patients have the option of uploading their test reports along with any other medical history," a statement said. * * * *

Audio-Technica inks partnership with RP Tech India * Japanese headphone brand Audio-Technica Monday said it has formed a strategic distribution partnership with RP Tech India.

Under this partnership, RP Tech India will act as a national distributor for Audio-Technica's consumer headphones range, helping strengthen the Japanese firm reach customers across 750 towns through more than 9,000 partners and retailers, a statement said.
