Redmart introduces Rwanda merchandise in online retail store for Singaporeans

Singapore-based customers can now easily get exclusive Rwanda-made products as Singapore’s leading grocery retail store, Redmart has commenced trading them on its online podium.

The online grocery retail player, Redmart has unveiled ‘Best of Rwanda’, which will give more exposure to the Rwandan products like honey, chilli oil, tea and varied types of grocery merchandise to the Singaporean online market. The products will directly be delivered to homes and other pan-Singapore addresses.

According to The New Times, the newly launched project is the outcome of a partnership between Plus 5 trading company in Singapore and Business Engineers Asia and is backed by the High Commission of Rwanda in Singapore, according to a statement by the High Commission. Products like Gorillas Coffee, Kinunu Coffee from the Rwanda’s district of Rusizi and Diddy’s chili are already selling on the Singaporean market through the platform and more products will be added gradually.

On the other hand, the High Commission has challenged other Rwandan companies to take advantage of the platform for diversifying their exports to the lucrative Singaporean market.
