Radico Khaitan Q4 net profit up 14% at Rs 39 cr

Liquor firm Radico Khaitan Thursday reported 14.24 per cent increase in its standalone net profit to Rs 39.05 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 34.18 crore during the January-March a year ago, Radico Khaitan said in a regulatory filing.
Its total income during the quarter under review stood at Rs 1,981.85 crore, up 18.51 per cent, against Rs 1,672.30 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal. Radico Khaitan's total expenses surged 18.78 per cent to Rs 1,925.19 crore compared to Rs 1,620.74 crore.
For the entire 2018-19, Radico Khaitan's profit stood at Rs 188.06 crore, up 52.33 per cent, as against Rs 123.45 crore in the previous year. Total income in the last fiscal stood at Rs 8,071.29 crore, up 28.54 per cent, from Rs 6,279.03 crore in 2017-18.
"Our operational and financial results have been remarkable with improvement across all key metrics. Driven by strong growth in the premium brands portfolio, we delivered net revenue growth of 15 per cent leading to corresponding profitability enhancement," said Radico Khaitan Chairman and Managing Director Lalit Khaitan. Meanwhile, in a separate filing, Radico Khaitan informed the BSE that its board in a meeting held on Thursday recommended a final dividend on equity shares at the rate of Rs 1.20 per share amounting to Rs 16 crore.
Shares of Radico Khaitan Ltd Thursday settled at Rs 353 on the BSE, down 0.41 per cent from the previous close.
