United Kingdom's digital, mobile-only bank Monzo has admitted that PINs of some customers were saved in a part of internal systems that could be accessed by engineers working with the company. The PINs aren't supposed to be accessed by engineers and Monzo has confirmed that they tightly control who can access the sensitive information.

Monzo, however, assured that these PINs haven't been exposed to anyone outside the company and added that they have verified that all the accounts impacted by the flaw are safe and no "fraud" has been committed using this information. The company, however, is advising customers to change their PINs.

Monzo hasn't revealed how many customers were impacted by the security flaw but has said that they are immediately rolling out an update and emailing the customers that have been affected.
