Refined soya oil futures up on spot demand

Refined soya oil prices rose 0.66 percent to Rs 761.8 per 10 kg in futures trade on Monday as speculators created fresh positions. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil contracts for most-traded September delivery went up by Rs 5, or 0.66 percent, to Rs 761.8 per 10 kg with an open interest of 37,730 lots.

Similarly, the contracts for October delivery traded higher by Rs 4.30, or 0.57 percent, at Rs 760.5 per 10 kg with an open interest of 20,610 lots. Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders against restricted arrivals from growing regions mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices.
