Copper futures fell 0.03 percent to Rs 444.80 per kg in futures trade on Friday after speculators trimmed positions in tandem with a weak trend overseas. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in September fell 15 paise, or 0.03 percent, to Rs 444.80 per kg in a business turnover of 2,089 lots.

The metal slipped 0.23 percent to USD 257.15 on the COMEX. Traders said, offloading of positions by speculators amid weak global cues led to falling in copper prices at futures trade.
