Silver futures traded 0.7 percent higher at Rs 46,637 per kg on Friday as speculators created fresh positions amid a firm trend at the spot market. Silver contracts for September delivery traded higher by Rs 325, or 1.02 percent, at Rs 46,637 per kg in a business turnover of 5,117 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.

Similarly, the white metal to be delivered in December rose by Rs 258, or 0.54 percent, to Rs 47,923 per kg in 4,131 lots. In the international market, silver was up 0.56 percent at USD 18.43 an ounce in New York.
