Angola: Ministry of Education desires participation of society in curriculum updating
The Ministry of Education (MED) will as from 2019, set a tool called "Inacua", which in the national Kikongo language means "we are listening to you", aimed at collecting the opinion of society for curriculum updating in order to improve the quality of education.
The National Director of Research and Development of Education, Manuel Afonso, who was speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the presentation session of the updated school book for 2019, reported that Inacua, which also means "National Inquiry for Curricular Adequacy", meetings, show that it is attentive to the concerns of society and lead to future updates, taking into account the policies that rule the education system (Law 13/01).
With Inacua, in 2022, other manuals will be included as part of the recently updated ones. In 2025, kicks off a cycle of life for a curricular change, between 5 and 6 years. The books will be generalized under Inacua.
