NTA Withdraws Grace Marks, NEET-UG 2024 Top Rankers Reduced

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Thursday that it will withdraw the grace marks awarded to 1,563 students who participated in the NEET-UG exam, reducing the number of top rankers from 67 to 61.

Six candidates from a particular exam center in Haryana were among those who initially shared the top rank. This decision has been made amid continuing controversy surrounding the 2024 NEET-UG.

Speaking before the Supreme Court, the NTA revealed that students would be allowed to either retake the exam or forego the compensatory marks. The court has confirmed that the counseling process for NEET-UG 2024 will proceed as scheduled, with admissions pending the outcome of ongoing petitions challenging exam irregularities.
