Aaditya Thackeray Criticizes UGC-NET Cancellation, Calls for 'Pariksha Pe Charcha'

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray criticized the Union government over the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam, questioning if a session of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' will be held for affected students. He expressed concern for the nine lakh students impacted and urged the government to stop compromising the country's future.

In a scathing remark on Thursday, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray lambasted the Union government following the abrupt cancellation of the UGC-NET exam. Thackeray questioned whether a 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' session, an initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reduce exam stress, would be organized for the nine lakh students who are now forced to retake the test.

The Union Education Ministry ordered the cancellation on Wednesday after concerns were raised about the integrity of the exam, leading to an investigation by the CBI. Thackeray accused the government of taking this step to safeguard its own interests, at the expense of students who have lost time, effort, and money.

He further implored the government to cease 'playing with the country's future' and called out the irony of those who conduct 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' failing to manage exams properly. This accountability demand resonates deeply given the initiative's goal of addressing academic stress for students, parents, and teachers over the past six years.
