Nagaland Congress Protests NEET-UG 2024 Irregularities

Nagaland Congress leaders and workers held a demonstration to protest alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2024 examination. They demanded action from the Centre against the National Testing Agency (NTA). Allegations of question paper leaks have sparked widespread discontent and legal challenges.

In a spirited demonstration on Friday, Nagaland Congress leaders and workers gathered outside the Congress Bhavan to denounce alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2024 examination. The protesters, armed with placards and banners, called on the Centre to take immediate action against the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Leading the charge, Meshenlo Kath, co-chairman of the Public Grievance Department of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee, criticized the Modi government, questioning how long it intends to deceive the public. The NEET-UG, conducted by the NTA on May 5, saw participation from around 24 lakh candidates, with results announced on June 4.

Following allegations of question paper leaks and other irregularities, protests have erupted in various cities, prompting petitions in multiple high courts and the Supreme Court. The controversy surrounding the examination has highlighted significant concerns within the educational sector.
