Samajwadi Party's Students Protest NEET-UG Irregularities

The Samajwadi Party's students' wing protested alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exam, claiming the test was rigged and demanding its cancellation and reexamination. A memorandum was submitted to authorities and protests were held across Uttar Pradesh. Allegations include question paper leaks and the unprecedented scoring of top ranks by 67 students.

The Samajwadi Party's students' wing on Friday staged a protest, decrying alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG medical entrance exam. They claimed the test was compromised with its question paper leaked, leading to demands for its cancellation and a reexamination.

At the Bapu Bhavan intersection in Lucknow, members of the Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha (SCS) handed a memorandum to authorities addressed to the President, calling for stringent actions. Samajwadi Party chief spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary, in a statement, accused police of using force to disperse the protesters.

Protests erupted across Uttar Pradesh, with the SCS urging the scrapping of the National Testing Agency, alleging malpractices. The examination saw 67 students scoring a perfect 720, raising suspicion about the integrity of the test. The early announcement of results has further fueled these claims.
