The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted an inquiry on Saturday in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar related to the alleged UGC-NET paper leak. The suspect, detained at Padrauna Kotwali, allegedly distributed a portion of the exam on Telegram, sources revealed.

The man purportedly attended coaching in Kota, Rajasthan before the examination. The CBI had lodged an FIR on Thursday against unknown individuals, prompted by a reference from the Union education ministry.

The UGC-NET-2024 exam, managed by the National Testing Agency (NTA), took place on June 18 nationwide. Concerns regarding exam integrity emerged after the University Grants Commission received allegations from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit, revealing the paper was being sold for Rs 5-6 lakh on the darknet a day after the exam.
