IGNOU Introduces MA in Bhagavadgita Studies for 2024-2025

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced a new MA course in Bhagavadgita studies, starting from the 2024-2025 academic session. The programme, offered through open and distance learning, spans two to four years with a total of 500 seats available. Eligible students must have a bachelor's degree.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will launch a new MA course in Bhagavadgita studies beginning with the 2024-2025 academic session, as per an official notification. The programme will be conducted through open and distance learning (ODL) from July 2024.

The course duration ranges from a minimum of two years to a maximum of four years. A total of 500 seats will be available, and the course will carry 80 credits with English as the medium of instruction.

Students with a bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized university can enroll. The course was approved during the university’s 81st Academic Council Meeting on December 19, 2023. The fee structure is Rs 12,600 for a full two-year course or Rs 6,300 per year.
