Empowering Ladakh: M3M Foundation's Transformative Initiative

M3M Foundation's 'KaushalSambhal' program has seen the graduation of 30 Ladakhi students, empowering them with skills in Sea Buckthorn processing and entrepreneurship. Led by Dr. Payal Kanodia, this initiative aims to bolster local communities and ensure sustainable development while fighting exploitation by external traders.

New Delhi (India), July 15: The M3M Foundation has celebrated a significant milestone with the graduation of 30 Ladakhi students from its 'KaushalSambhal' program. The initiative focuses on empowering border communities through training in Sea Buckthorn processing techniques and entrepreneurship.

These students, hailing from the Sumoor and Panamic blocks, are now equipped to become self-reliant entrepreneurs, contributing to local economies by transforming Sea Buckthorn into valuable consumer goods. Dr. Payal Kanodia, Chairperson & Trustee of M3M Foundation, highlighted the collaborative effort that led to the program's success and reiterated her commitment to Ladakh's development.

Supported by DRDO and SIDBI, with Aide et Action as an implementation partner, the program has established an enterprise unit in Nubra Valley. This unit aims to counter exploitation by external traders and ensure that the local population benefits from their resources, fostering economic empowerment and regional pride.
