Tragedy Strikes Aspiring Civil Servant During Delhi Flooding

Tanya Soni, a UPSC aspirant, tragically lost her life due to basement flooding at a coaching center in Delhi. Her father, Vijay Kumar, shared she had been preparing for UPSC exams and had always dreamt of becoming a civil servant. The incident occurred during a sudden downpour, taking three lives.

Tanya Soni, a dedicated UPSC aspirant, tragically passed away due to flooding caused by heavy rains at a coaching center in Delhi. Studying earnestly for the civil services exam, Tanya had envisioned a career in civil service since childhood.

Her father, Vijay Kumar, disclosed that Tanya had been studying at the center for a month after completing her graduation in Political Science. The family was en route to Lucknow when they heard the devastating news, prompting an immediate journey to Delhi to retrieve her body.

Vijay Kumar, who works with Singareni Collieries Company Ltd in Telangana, now plans to return to Bihar for Tanya's last rites. This heartbreaking incident also claimed the lives of two other UPSC aspirants, leading to condolences from Telangana's Chief Minister and Union Minister.
