Rahul Sharma, a civil service aspirant, led a sit-in at Old Rajinder Nagar to seek justice for the three students who tragically drowned in a coaching centre basement in west Delhi. Sharma voiced the urgency of taking concrete steps to ensure that such incidents are prevented in the future.

Hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Sharma is among the hundreds of aspirants who staged a candlelight vigil and used flashlights to remember Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni, and Nevin Dalwin, who lost their lives due to the negligence of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).

The incident has sparked widespread protests, with many blaming the MCD for inadequate water management and maintenance. In response, the MCD launched an anti-encroachment drive, sealing 13 illegal coaching centres. Despite these actions, students argue more needs to be done to ensure their safety and proper infrastructure.
