Delhi’s New Educational Marvel: A Five-Storey Future

Delhi Education Minister Atishi inspected a new five-storey school designed to accommodate 8,000 students. The facility, located in North-East Delhi, promises to provide top-tier education. With 120 rooms, including modern classrooms and laboratories, the school aims to support students from underserved areas.

Delhi Education Minister Atishi on Tuesday inspected a newly constructed five-storey school in north-east Delhi, urging officials to complete pending work within a month.

During the inspection, Atishi praised the school's infrastructure, accompanied by local MLA Rajendra Pal Gautam. She highlighted the modern amenities, stating, ''The building of this magnificent new school is no less than the building of any international university.''

This state-of-the-art facility in Sundar Nagari, which can accommodate 8,000 students, is set to provide world-class education to children from the region’s poorest families, aligning with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's vision. The school features 120 rooms, including 87 modern classrooms, eight advanced laboratories, five libraries, two multipurpose halls, and activity rooms, along with student-friendly lifts for accessibility and comfort.

Atishi emphasized the need for detailed attention in this final phase and directed that any remaining work be finalized within the next month. The initiative aims to alleviate pressure on existing schools in Mandoli, Saboli, Sundar Nagari, Bank Colony, Harsh Vihar, and Nand Nagari.

She noted, ''This land, once occupied by land mafias, is now a magnificent educational facility, thanks to the Kejriwal government's efforts.'' Highlighting the broader vision, Atishi expressed that the new school would surpass private institutions in educational quality and ensure every child—regardless of their socioeconomic background—has access to excellent education. The project was initially inaugurated by then Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
