College Professor Booked for Sexual Harassment and Criminal Intimidation

A professor of a government college in Shimla has been booked for allegedly assaulting a 20-year-old female student, intending to outrage her modesty, sexually harass her, and intimidate her, police stated on Monday.

According to the police, the student filed a complaint at the Women Police Station in Shimla, alleging long-term sexual harassment and death threats from the professor if she revealed the incidents.

An investigation has been initiated following the registration of a case under relevant sections of the IPC and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
