Panic Erupts After Hoax Bomb Threats in Schools

Panic struck several schools, including Kendriya Vidyalaya at Narimedu, on Monday after an alleged bomb threat was issued via email, causing distress among parents and school staff, police reported.

Police, alongside bomb detection and disposal squads and Fire and Rescue Services, conducted rigorous inspections at Kendriya Vidyalaya and three other schools in the city. Authorities confirmed that the threat appears to be a hoax, with investigations ongoing to identify the anonymous sender.

Viral videos showed concerned parents picking up their children. One parent mentioned rushing to the school to collect his son after receiving a message from the school management, stating there was no apparent danger but children could be taken home as a precaution.
