The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has rescheduled the board examinations originally set for this Friday for Classes 10 and 12. The decision comes after the state government declared a holiday in observance of Shab-e-Barat.

Initially slated to take place on Friday, the examinations have been moved to March 4, affecting over 7.84 lakh students who registered to sit for the assessments. The tight security arrangement for the exams commenced earlier in the week.

This postponement impacts several language papers, namely Kharia, Khortha, Kurmali, Nagpuri, and Panch Pargania for Class 10, as well as the compulsory core language papers for Class 12 students. The JAC confirmed the revised schedule in their recent press release.
