AI Surveillance and Tragedy Mark Odisha Matriculation Exams

The Odisha class 10 matriculation examination began with over 5.22 lakh students. Exams are monitored through AI cameras. Odisha Chief Minister conveyed best wishes to students. In Kendrapara district, an accident resulted in injuries to students en route to the exam center. Despite the incident, some students managed to take the exam.

The Matriculation examination for class 10, organized by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, commenced on Friday. Over 5.22 lakh students appeared in the tests conducted at 3,133 centers, running daily from 9 am to 11:30 am, continuing until March 6.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his best wishes to all candidates, encouraging them to approach the exams with confidence and poise, free from stress. AI-enabled cameras have been installed to maintain vigilance, monitored from a control room at the BSE headquarters through live streaming. This ensures real-time oversight of examination procedures.

In separate news, a tragic accident occurred in Kendrapara district where a vehicle carrying students collided with a cyclist, resulting in the cyclist's death and injuring 11 students. The students, on their way to the Vivekananda High School for exams, exhibited resilience as some managed to attend the exam despite minor injuries.
