Crizac Ltd, a prominent player in the field of student recruitment solutions, has received the green light from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) to proceed with a Rs 1,000 crore initial public offering (IPO). This significant development was confirmed by the market regulator's update on Tuesday.
The IPO is structured entirely as an offer for sale from the company's promoters, Pinky Agarwal and Manish Agarwal, meaning there will be no fresh issuance of shares. The offer involves Pinky selling equity shares worth Rs 841 crore, while Manish will part with shares worth up to Rs 159 crore, as per the draft red herring prospectus.
Despite not receiving any funds from this offering, Crizac Ltd stands to gain from heightened visibility and potential market leverage. Over recent years, the company has expanded its operations extensively, facilitating student recruitments for global institutions in countries like the UK, Canada, and Australia, while significantly boosting its revenue and profits.
