In a startling incident at a local government girls' school, a female teacher has come under scrutiny for allegedly instructing a student to slap classmates for incorrect answers. The police have registered a case following a complaint by a 10-year-old student.
The situation arose after the teacher asked the class about Sanskrit word meanings, a task they were supposed to memorize. With several students failing to provide the correct answers, the teacher reportedly told the class monitor to slap them, initially softly and then hard.
The young complainant claims that the teacher's actions have instilled fear among students. Further, the teacher allegedly asserted that parental complaints would not result in consequences against her.
