On Tuesday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched a nationwide audit of Indian government schools, targeting longstanding educational inadequacies. With 3,000 trained volunteers dispatched across 20 states, AAP seeks to shed light on the decades of neglect under BJP and Congress administrations.

Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia highlighted dire statistics, citing the National Education Policy's unmet goal of 6% GDP investment in education, overshadowed by real budget allocations of less than 2.5%. Sisodia criticized the educational systems, comparing India's lagging framework to advanced practices in Japan and China.

AAP's Punjab Education Minister, Harjot Singh Bains, emphasized gains in Punjab's schools while announcing significant investments in AI labs. AAP's campaign includes demonstrations and inspections aiming for substantial reform, countering what they allege as a BJP-driven narrative of maintaining ignorance for political purposes.
