Maharashtra's Educational Revolution: Engaging Students Through Technology and Experiential Learning

The Maharashtra government has signed MoUs with Khan Academy and Sri Sri Rural Development Trust to enhance education through technology-driven learning and holistic school development. These partnerships aim to improve foundational learning in mathematics and science and promote experiential education in selected government schools across the state.

The Maharashtra government has taken a significant step to improve education by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with two notable organizations—Khan Academy and Sri Sri Rural Development Trust. This initiative is aimed at making education more engaging and effective for students throughout the state.

The agreements, endorsed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, will integrate technology-driven, learner-centric approaches in classrooms. Notably, the partnership with Khan Academy will launch the 'Dr Jayant Narlikar Maths and Science Learning Enhancement Programme', providing curriculum-aligned content in Marathi and English for grades 1 to 10 through self-paced video-based learning modules.

In collaboration with Sri Sri Rural Development Trust, the initiative will implement experiential learning models in 150 government schools. This effort will focus on school development planning, teacher training, and community engagement to strengthen the school ecosystem, promoting better infrastructure and learning outcomes.
