Ramji Lal Suman, an MP and National General Secretary of the Samajwadi Party, visited Aligarh Muslim University on Saturday to express solidarity with students protesting a recent fee hike.

Meeting the students outside the Sir Syed Gate, Suman criticized the university administration for not initiating discussions with the demonstrators. He emphasized the role of universities in nurturing communication skills and condemned the absence of student union elections.

Although campus entry rules prevented Suman's access, he assured students of his moral support and the party's readiness to address the issue in Parliament. Meanwhile, two students on a fast-unto-death protest have been examined by a medical team as their strike enters its third day.
