The incident took place on October 8 during the event at a renowned institution in Latur's MIDC area. It began with a minor dispute while dancing, which escalated into violence. Victim Suraj Shinde argued with a group of students who then attacked him with sticks and fists, according to police reports.
Shinde was critically injured and, despite being rushed to a local hospital, succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
