Rudrappa, a long-serving driver for Karnataka University, received an emotional farewell on November 29. Having spent nearly 23 years transporting Vice-Chancellors and Registrars, his retirement was marked by an extraordinary tribute.

In an unprecedented gesture, Registrar (Evaluation) Nijalingappa Mattihal chose to personally drive Rudrappa and his family home, underlining the respect and admiration he earned over his years of dedicated service.

Initially hired temporarily during Registrar Rajneesh Goel's tenure, Rudrappa went on to serve several top officials, including five Vice-Chancellors. As Rudrappa retired, he cherished the warm and respectful interactions he shared with those he served.
