Hungarian Metalworkers Forge Charity With Calendar Craze
A group of Hungarian metalworkers creates a charity calendar to support local schools with educational supplies. Featuring realistic portrayals of themselves, the calendar's popularity has grown, turning initial modest sales into a larger venture aiding multiple schools.
In Budapest, Hungarian metalworker Janos Bocs sheds some layers to pose for a unique charity calendar featuring himself and fellow metalworkers. Set in a former industrial complex, the calendar aims to raise funds for schools in need.
Launched last year, the project initially sold around 100 copies. The proceeds funded a smart board for a local school. This year, bolstered by media coverage, orders have soared to a thousand, allowing the aid to extend to several schools.
The metalworkers hope their endeavor not only raises funds but also renews interest in metallurgy among Hungary's youth. Emphasizing authenticity over idealized images, the team remains committed to their cause.
