Smart India Hackathon 2025: Celebrating Innovation at IIT Kharagpur

The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur is set to host the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 - Hardware Edition's grand finale from December 8 to December 12, marking the occasion with the platinum jubilee of the institution.
Launched in 2017 by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell and the AICTE, the Smart India Hackathon has become the world's largest open innovation platform, encouraging higher education students to solve real-world challenges. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan continue to support this initiative.
This year's SIH boasts 72,165 idea submissions and participation from 8,26,635 students, highlighting the event's inclusive nature. In conjunction with the institution's 75th anniversary, the event underscores IIT Kharagpur's commitment to innovation and nation-building.
