Puducherry is set to host Vice President C P Radhakrishnan on December 29, during his first visit as Vice President, as he delivers the 30th convocation address at Pondicherry Central University.
In addition to distributing degrees and gold medals to graduates both in person and in absentia, Radhakrishnan, who serves as Chancellor of the university, will inaugurate the International Convention Centre on campus.
The event holds significant weight as the new convention centre will act as the convocation venue, marking an essential infrastructure addition to the university, as highlighted in a statement from the university on Wednesday.
