In a charged political environment, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of politicizing educational disputes ahead of board examinations. He emphasized the BJP's commitment to safeguard students' academic interests and ensure the examinations proceed without undue stress.
Addressing a gathering of students and parents, Sood insisted the city administration views every student as its responsibility, whether they attend government or private institutions. He highlighted a recent case of withheld admit cards at the Apeejay School as resolved, while accusing AAP of leveraging such matters for political gain instead of seeking lasting resolutions.
Arvind Kejriwal, AAP's convenor, countered, accusing the BJP government of protecting private educational institutions while ignoring student rights. As the board exams near, political tensions intensify, with charges of arbitrary fee hikes and alleged suppression of dissent becoming central.
