In a curious case of exam avoidance, two Class-7 girls from Maitri Vihar fled their homes, only to be rescued from a relative's house in Odisha's Angul district. The incident unfolded last Thursday when the girls left their homes for school but never returned, prompting a swift response.

Concerned about their disappearance, the parents filed a missing person's report, leading police to offer a Rs 25,000 reward for information. With the help of human intelligence and technical means, authorities successfully located the girls by Saturday in Kishore Nagar.

The girls had left town fearing their upcoming annual examinations set for March 9 due to academic struggles. They have since been verified and safely reunited with their families, according to Police Commissioner S Dev Datta Singh.
