Lula's Health Checkup: All Clear for Brazilian President
Brazilian President Lula underwent a routine medical checkup at Sao Paulo’s Sirio-Libanes Hospital, and the results were normal. Led by cardiologist Dr. Roberto Kalil Filho, his medical team will provide routine follow-up care. At 80, Lula plans to seek reelection in 2025.
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, known as Lula, successfully completed his annual medical checkup at Sao Paulo’s Sirio-Libanes Hospital, with all test results returning normal.
The hospital stated on Sunday that Lula will continue to receive routine follow-up care with his medical team, including cardiologist Roberto Kalil Filho and physician Ana Helena Germoglio. Currently, there are no additional exams planned.
Lula, who is 80 years old, announced plans to seek reelection in 2025. Previously, in 2024, he underwent two operations to address bleeding issues in his skull. Lula served as Brazil's president from 2003 to 2010 and has been serving again since January 2023.
