Medical education costs in the Philippines range from USD 3,000 to USD 6,000 per year, significantly lower than Western countries, as noted by David Pillai, CEO of Pune-based Transworld Educare. He highlights the English-medium instruction and US-pattern curriculum as key attractions.
This week, 1,015 Indian-origin students graduated as doctors from Davao Medical School Foundation, one of the largest cohorts from a single overseas institution. The institution's dean, Erwin Rommel N Hontiveros, emphasizes longstanding support for Indian students, with nearly 12,000 graduates since 1999.
