The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is set to revolutionize classroom learning by partnering with Australia-based Canva to train teachers across its 1,514 schools. Scheduled for a March 28 launch, this initiative aims to enliven educational experiences with visually engaging digital content.
MCD's education department, aligning with the National Education Policy, will allow teachers to create illustrations, charts, and infographics using Canva's tools. The platform will incorporate NCERT materials, making traditional instruction more interactive and fostering creativity and innovation among students, officials say.
Yogesh Verma, Chairman of the MCD Education Committee, emphasized the program's focus on world-class tools available at no cost. Teachers, including sports staff, will participate in a two-hour training session. Australian High Commissioner Philip Green is expected to attend the launch as the chief guest.
