Odisha govt hikes salary of contractual teaching staff at ayurvedic, homoeopathic medical colleges
The Odisha government on Tuesday hiked the salary of contractual readers and professors at state-run ayurvedic and homoeopathic medical colleges, officials said. According to a statement issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, the monthly salary of readers and professors has been doubled from Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively. Additionally, contractual lecturers will draw a salary of Rs 70,000 per month.

According to a statement issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, the monthly salary of readers and professors has been doubled from Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively. Additionally, contractual lecturers will draw a salary of Rs 70,000 per month. Previously, the lecturers did not have a fixed pay. Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for the decision, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling said it will further strengthen Ayush education in the state and motivate teachers.
