During the 168th Founder's Day celebration at The Lawrence School, Lovedale, Tamil Nadu's Governor Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar highlighted the broader purpose of education. Addressing the gathering, he stressed that learning should not be confined to gaining employment.
He called on students to use their education to reflect on societal responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to their country's progress. While recognizing employment's importance, he encouraged aspiration towards entrepreneurship and leadership across fields.
The governor also emphasized education's role in cultivating human values, promoting integrity, and fostering patriotism, aiming to develop selfless citizens and role models who positively impact society and the nation.
