UGC-NET 2026: Online Registration Portal Now Open

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the online registration process for the UGC-NET examination scheduled for June 2026. The examination, set for the 22nd to the 30th, aims to assess the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowships, assistant professorships, and PhD admissions at Indian institutions.

Prospective candidates have until May 20, 2026, to submit their applications via the NTA's official website. The application fee for general category applicants is Rs 1,150, with reduced rates for other categories. Application corrections can be made between May 22 and May 24.

The announcement of exam centers will occur by June 10, with admit cards released by June 15. All candidates must ensure their contact information is accurate to receive necessary updates. The NTA has advised applicants to utilize Aadhaar verification for smoother processing.
