A British woman is facing serious charges following a tragic accident in South London that claimed the lives of two young girls. Prosecutors announced that Claire Freemantle has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, after the devastating incident outside a local school.
The accident, which occurred near the prestigious Wimbledon tennis tournament site, resulted in the deaths of Nuria Sajjad and Selena Lau. Freemantle, 49, is also charged with causing serious injury to seven others in the same incident.
The community was in shock as the tragedy unfolded during a celebratory event marking the end of the school term. London's Metropolitan Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision that took place at the Study Prep School.
