The NEET (UG) 2026 exam, which was initially held on May 3, was called off on Tuesday after allegations surfaced about the leak. The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered an FIR following a directive from the government to conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged irregularities.
The National Testing Agency, responsible for administering the exam required for medical college admissions, has promised to announce new examination dates within the next week to ten days. This cancellation has sparked nationwide discontent among medical aspirants, leading to increased scrutiny of the NTA's effectiveness.
