A home guard collapsed and died suddenly at Sultanpur's district collectorate, shocking colleagues and staff on Wednesday afternoon. Identified as 50-year-old Shiv Murti Yadav, he was reportedly visiting the arms clerk when he met his untimely demise.

Onlookers promptly rushed Yadav to the Government Medical College emergency ward, where doctors declared him dead. The Kotwali Nagar police, alerted to the incident, have commenced an inquiry and dispatched the body for a post-mortem examination.
