The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) made significant progress on Wednesday by producing before a Delhi court all five individuals arrested in connection with the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. This development unfolded as the accused were taken into custody from different states over their purported roles in the scandal.

Presenting the individuals before the CBI Special Judge Ajay Gupta, the agency revealed the identities of those involved: Shubham Khairnar from Nashik, Mangilal Biwal, Vikas Biwal, and Dinesh Biwal from Jaipur, along with Yash Yadav from Gurugram. Particularly, Khairnar, aged 30, was transported to Delhi following a two-day transit remand.

This inquiry stems from the NEET (UG) 2026 exam, meant for medical college admissions, which was held on May 3 and later canceled amid mounting paper leak allegations. The government's directive prompted the CBI to undertake a comprehensive probe to address the irregularities surrounding this critical exam.
