CBI Cracks Down on NEET-UG Paper Leak in Maharashtra

The Central Bureau of Investigation is conducting a probe into the alleged NEET-UG exam paper leak in Maharashtra's Latur city. Multiple arrests have been made, and the investigation involves several parties linked to Renukai Chemistry Classes and other local individuals.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) intensified its investigation into the alleged NEET-UG exam paper leak with a search operation at Renukai Chemistry Classes (RCC) in Latur, Maharashtra, on Sunday. Sources reveal that the search commenced in the Shivnagar locality and continued well into the evening.

CBI officials had previously interrogated RCC founder Shivraj Motegaonkar for eight hours on Friday at his residence, which is in close proximity to the coaching center. Allegations suggest that some doctors in Latur may have purchased the leaked examination papers.

A CBI team has remained stationed in Latur for days, reinforcing efforts to tackle the breach which resulted in the exam's cancellation on May 3. The central agency has made multiple arrests, including that of a Pune-based Biology lecturer linked to the NTA's paper-setting committee.
