Sikkim Achieves Full Literacy Status in Historic Milestone

Sikkim has been declared fully literate, an achievement celebrated by Droupadi Murmu and Prem Singh Tamang, highlighting inclusive progress through the ULLAS initiative.

In a landmark achievement, Sikkim has been officially recognized as a fully literate state with the presence of Droupadi Murmu marking this significant milestone. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang during the Sikkim University convocation at Manan Kendra, Gangtok, under the ULLAS initiative.

Tamang expressed his pride and congratulated the citizens of Sikkim on this historic occasion. He hailed it as a transformative step in the state's educational journey, underscoring the government's dedication to ensuring that no adult is excluded from learning opportunities. The chief minister credited this success to the courageous learners and the relentless efforts of educators and volunteers across the state.
