Odisha Urges Universities to Embrace Global Tech Shift
Governor Kambhampati encourages Odisha's universities to adapt to global technological changes while fostering traditional values and innovation. Speaking at a Vice-Chancellors' conference, he highlighted the role of education in nation-building. The Chief Minister and other officials also emphasized initiatives for enhancing the state's higher education landscape.

Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati has urged state universities to become globally competent and socially responsible while integrating Indian values. The Governor, addressing a conference of Vice-Chancellors from public and private universities, emphasized the pressing need for institutions to adapt to the technological evolution sweeping the globe.
Kambhampati underscored the importance of equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage the complexities of the future. He called on universities to drive innovation and entrepreneurship, pivotal for building an Atmanirbhar Bharat. He also acknowledged the transformative role of the National Education Policy 2020 in shaping higher education.
At the conference, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that universities should focus on transforming into hubs of knowledge and innovation. Majhi highlighted the state’s increased education budget and initiatives aimed at strengthening the sector, envisioning Odisha as a future growth engine for India.
Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo and other ministers discussed strategies for bolstering higher education and fostering sustainable growth. The assembly echoed a collective vision for educational institutions to craft inclusive development roadmaps.
