The flawed ladies from Rangita Pritish Nandy’s ‘Four Shots More Please!’ are back on Amazon Prime. Written by Devika Bhagat this season is much of grandeur, from vacation in Istanbul to destination wedding in Udaivilas Palace and sightseeing in Mumbai. Not just with places, the season is also obsessed with sassy wardrobe and heavy emotions.

The first season ended on a note of broken bonds and the second season has made a comeback with a lapse of four months in their lives. Anjana, Umang, Siddhi, and Damini, women who met at a Trunk Bar in the first season and made friends over tequila shots are worth binge-watching with even messier lives this time. Their shattered bond glues back together when drunk Siddhi makes a call to Umang, standing on the banks of Bosphorus in Istanbul cries over her lonely backpacking. The reconciliation happens quickly without much drama, but that isn’t the story for the rest of the show. All the ladies make a quick pact with the past by sharing their journey of stepping out of the self-created mess in the first season itself.

The girls are full of an oxymoron this time. They are aware of what they shouldn't do yet step into the mess with a happy face to welcome chaos in their lives.

From a shy girl, Siddhi (Maanvi Gagroo) becomes a girl who embraces her desires, the character is the star of this season. Overcoming her body-shaming issues, and holding a boast of self-esteem, she is exploring herself in all the ways she can. Having tried fashion blogging to baking cake, she has a list of her talents that are not helping her to convince people and make any money out of it. While Damini (Sayani Gupta) is determined to stroll with truth and write a politically controversial book. With her failed relationship with the bartender Jeh (Prateik Babbar), she is still looking for closure. Whereas Anjana (Kirti Kulhari) seems to have made peace with her ex-husband Varun (Neil Bhoopalam) and his present wife Kavya (Amrita Puri). Flinched by unwelcomed love from her boyfriend Arjun (Ankur Rathee), Anjana is the 'smart lady of the show’. The most audacious of the four, Umang (Bani J) is dealing with her relationship woes with Samara Kapoor (Lisa Ray) but makes an unexpected move at the end.

Devika with her writing tried to knit and present shots of trending subjects. Be it the rebuff for the acceptance of LGBT love affair between Umang and Samara Kapoor (Lisa Ray), or a touch of political controversies in Damini’s controversial book, Bloody February. This season has an expression of expressions. It has profoundly delivered sexism at the workplace, dealt with by Anjana, and a darker version of social trolling in Sidhhi’s life.

Making a great addition to the girl gang, Nupur Asthana has provided artistic triumph with her direction in the entire season. With more friendship, ambitions, and adultery this time, it is a wanderlust of one’s life. With obvious flaws in individual characters, the show is a great effort to portray women standing for each other.

Having a feeling of familiarity, the charmingly adoring relationship of these women makes it a binge-watch worthy show.
