Ethan Peck cast as Spock in 'Star Trek: Discovery'

 "Star Trek: Discovery" has found its Spock in actor Ethan Peck.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will play the iconic role of the half-human, half-Vulcan science officer of the USS Enterprise in the second season of the SVOD service's show.

Veteran actor Leonard Nimoy famously played the character on "Star Trek" from the first TV episode, in 1966, to the film "Star Trek Into Darkness" (2013), with Zachary Quinto playing the young Spock in the movie franchise.

Showrunner Alex Kurtzman said the team is thrilled to welcome Peck to the "Star Trek" family.
